Sellers, have you wondered how to list your product if it doesn’t have a Product ID?

It sounds like mission impossible, doesn’t it? But it’s not. You can request a GTIN (Global Trade Item Number) exemption.

How to do it?

Visit the Amazon exemption page you will find in the comments, and follow the six steps below:

• Click the SELECT button and the relevant PRODUCT CATEGORY from the pop-up list.
  
  
• Type your brand’s or publisher’s name in the BRAND/PUBLISHER field.
  * If your product is not branded or you apply for bundles, type GENERIC.
  
  
• Click on CHECK FOR ELIGIBILITY, where an eligibility summary will appear. Cross your fingers because if your product is eligible for the exemption, you will see a checkmark in the STATUS field. If you are not, that will be the end of the process.
  
  
• If your product is eligible for exemption, click CONTINUE TO SUBMIT PROOF.
  
  
• Upload your images on the PROVIDE PROOF page.
   * Make sure you upload photos showing all sides of your product and its product name!
  
  
• Click SUBMIT REQUEST and wait. The most unpleasant part.
  *You will receive an email within 48 hours regarding the approval status of your request (or check your case log).
